RPM Magazine poised to release
first ever full gloss issue.
January 12, 2009
Management at RPM Magazine announced today that production has just been completed on the first-ever full gloss edition of RPM Magazine!
To be printed and released to readers worldwide in 18 countries, the long anticipated February 2009 Issue of RPM Magazine, the first of the new format change to full gloss for RPM, will be in the hands of readers in just a few days.
"Production staff at the RPM offices in USA and Canada have now completed their task and as they say, it's in the books!
We've been inundated with calls and inquiries asking about when the 'New RPM' will be released to the public, 'when can we see the new mag', everyone is asking? Readers are excited and they have good reason to be!" Exclaimed RPM Editor, Chris Biro. "RPM was started as the Racer and Enthusiast Magazine ten years ago and this latest expansion only reaffirms our commitment to this specific area of motorsports. So, the answer to the question of when? Printing will completed by mid week and worldwide shipping will begin this Thursday!
Ian Rae, Senior Drag Race Editor for RPM added. "I am looking forward to the new format with great anticipation. Anyone who remembers the original format will realize how much work everyone has done to take RPM to the next level. With RPM being the industry leader in Fast Doorslammer racing, Chris and Trish have now moved the bar higher and the readers are in for a real treat."

"We had reached the final plateau for RPM in it's current form", explains Director of Race Relations, Karen Bryant. "Our product was the best in the business both in quality of the physical magazine itself and in particular our exclusive content, so going to the gloss format was the next natural step in the growth and progression for RPM. Being the first magazine to design such a focused format on one specific part of the sport of drag racing, RPM has become a very strong force within this business, the support was there for this project. Chris kept us all in constant contact, getting all of our input to make sure we were heading in the right direction, and now that we have finished up building this first issue I am as excited as everyone else to debut it to the world. The hard work and professionalism of my RPM Team is second to none and they deserve as much credit as the rest for making this dream become a reality; thank you to all of them."
"It's exciting to see the direction the magazine has gone, even in just the short time we have been a part of it," says Tony Weber, Field Media Operations Director for RPM Magazine. "Watching the anticipation from our readers and faithful supporters is matched only by ours when faced with the realization that RPM is about to become that much better with the full color full gloss format. This is just one more step for RPM to not only be the best in the business, but to stay the best as well."
"You will see some changes in RPM, and we hope they are well received," Biro goes on to say. "Rest assured that we have continued to listen to the industry and base our continuing evolution on it's direction. We aren't much for sitting around and becoming complacent with anything, nor do we look at what others are doing and do the same. Rather, we innovate and develop new and exciting ways of bringing our readers and advertisers this sport with the highest level of professionalism possible. We constantly consult with companies, racers and individuals at all levels of the performance and racing industry, drawing on their specific expertise and experience to help bring you an interesting magazine to read, as well as use in your efforts to promote your business or race team and the sport itself.
