“Tech Tips & Race Secrets”
just got that much better... January 5, 2009
It has always been the goal of RPM Magazine to forgo the glitz, glitter and perceived rock-star status that some feel goes along with media and give its readers what they really want, action, and information that they can actually use. So we enlist the best of the best in today's world of motorsports.
"For us to tell you how to get 500 horsepower out of small block would be simply repeating what has already been done over and over again. Most of our readers, whether competitors or enthusiasts with a racecar, hotrod or street machine in their garage already have the parts," explains RPM Editor-In-Chief Chris Biro. "At RPM we prefer to show you how to approach making what you already have work better or more efficiently. We accomplish this by putting the thoughts and ideas of our technical writers out on the table for you to take away, digest, and hopefully help in your efforts within your own motorsports program, at any level. I am a strong believer in the ingenuity of racers and their ability, through hands-on research and development, to make our sport and our performance components better, faster and stronger."
For 2009 RPM Magazine is excited to announce the formation of it's new Technical Team. RPM will bring back the writings of Patrick Budd along with EFI University’s Ben Strader and to them add the exciting experiences of world renowned tuner Shane Tecklenburg of Fast Motorsports in our new "Tech With Teck" column, and also the first hand grassroots insight of racer, tuner and series coordinator Chuck Scott.
"A well rounded package," continues Biro. "That is what we have developed yet again in RPM. We have always put out technical based articles that appeal to our readers experiences from Pro Modified to 10.5, Stock Suspension small tire cars and even Street Machines, and that is what we have achieved by building this team. Every one of these folks are leaders in the industry and completely up to date with today's technical and hands-on aspects of motorsports and are the future of the industry. We are honored to have each of them as part of our team. These people have been there and are doing that, so rest assured you are getting information that has been brought about by getting some heads thinking and some hands dirty. Hopefully our technical and historical content will save you time and money and help you become a better more effective competitor."
